Laureate of the Russian National theatre award “The Golden Mask”
Andrey Danilov graduated from N. A. Rimsky-Korsakoff Saint Petersburg State Conservatory in 2000, he studied at Prof. I.Musin and U.Temirkanov’s workshop. He participated in international master-classes given by U.Simonov, M. Elder and Z. Mehta. From 2000 to 2002 he has been serving an internship at the Royal Northern College of Music.
From 2001 to 2002 he has been working as an assistant conductor of the Royal Northern Sinfonia orchestra. From 2000 he has been cooperating with many Russian orchestras: D.Shostakovich Saint Petersburg Academic Philarmonic Orchestra, The State Academic Symphony Orchestra “Evgeny Svetlanov”, The National Philharmonic of Russia, The State Symphony orchestra “New Russia”, The Moscow State Symphony Orchestra under P.Kogan’s supervision are among them.
Since 2005 Andrey Danilov has been a conductor of Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. He worked on such plays as the ballet “Apolo Musageta” and “Pulcinella” by I.Stravinsky, “Serenade” by P.Tchaikovsky, the opera “Carmen” by G.Bizet. Since 2008 he has been a guest conductor at the Mikhailovsky Theatre. Since 2009 he has been a guest conductor at the Mariinsky Theatre. He is a participant of the “TERRITORIЯ” and “Crescendo” festivals. Many times he conducted plays at “The Golden Mask” festival in Moscow. He worked on the staging of the opera “Carmen” by G.Bizet in Baden-Baden in 2010. Also he conducted the opera “Iolanta” by P.Tchaikovsky in Madrid in 2012.
He was a stage director of the ballet “The Temple Dancer” by L.Minkus. In 2018 he was appointed conductor of Samara Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
